Happy New Year and welcome back to Inside the Statehouse, Indiana Institute for Working Families' weekly blog about legislative action related to working families during the Indiana General Assembly's 2016 session.

The Institute's goal is to provide readers with substantive analysis of important legislative developments affecting working families across Indiana. In addition to documenting the outcomes of efforts related to the Institute's 2016 Policy Agenda, we will be tracking and offering synopses of bills that may promote or diminish the well-being of working families.

Each week, the Inside the Statehouse Blog will provide a summary of the previous week's developments and a preview of legislation slated to move forward during the week. Subscribe here to receive these updates via email. From time to time, if an unfavorable or favorable bill is moving forward, we will also send Action Alerts with detailed information on how to act and/or who to contact to influence legislation.

For more frequent updates, you can like the Indiana Institute for Working Families on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. The Institute also welcomes your donations to ensure that working families continue to have a voice at the Statehouse.
